RockTape - Kinesiology Tape Instruction - Achilles Pain

Posted by Alfie Tatnell on

Here we’ll detail the steps on applying RockTape Kinesiology Tape for Achilles pain. This application can reduce pain and inflammation in the area. Start with our standard 2 inch tape and measure the first strip from the bottom of the heel to mid-calf. Measure a second strip from one side of the calf to the other. Round the tape’s corners to avoid catching on gear or clothing. Stretch the skin by reaching toes to shin. With the first strip, tear an end then anchor to the bottom of the heel. Pull away the release paper, taping over the heel. Then with sight stretch, apply to the Achilles tendon. Lay the end down with no stretch and rub to activate the adhesive. For the second strip, tear the center of the release paper to expose the adhesive. With slight stretch, apply the tape to the Achilles tendon perpendicular to the first strip. Lay down the ends with no added stretch, then rub to activate the adhesive. Thanks for watching! Check out our other videos for more movement and taping tutorials to help you go stronger, longer.
